In France there exists a land of peace and
tranquility, known for its rivers, châteaux and wine. It is called
the Loire. Prized by royalty throughout history, this is a
fascinating area steeped in centuries of wine-making history.
Indeed, few places in the world can offer such a wide variety of
terroirs and appellations in an area of comparable size. No wonder,
therefore, that it was here, amidst the chateau estates and enclosed
vineyards, that Pierre Chainier found his promised land and true
calling: wine! He has since built up one of the largest vineyards in
the region, featuring the most prestigious terroirs and parcels of
land which produce the best wines, with their rich variety of
nuances and flavors. The Chainier family’s oldest roots in wine
growing have been traced back to 1749. Today, they continue the
family tradition in the Loire Valley.
